Working for us

We know that our people are the key to delivering our Rail contracting services to the highest of standards - by drawing on their technical know-how, combined with their continued safety training.

We give our people the support and training to deliver excellence

Our sites in Barnsley and Grangemouth coordinate projects across the UK – delivering rail maintenance service wherever they are needed.

If you’re applying for a role to join our contracting team, you’ll need to have time-served experience on the tracks and hold up-to-date training certifications. During our recruitment process we undertake extensive pre-employments checks in line with our health and safety procedures, including security vetting, drug and alcohol testing and qualification verification.

Recognising that to start your career in the rail industry you’ll often need additional training and support, we actively look for opportunities to introduce trainee positions, and are proud to have signed the Social Mobility Pledge.

In support of our active and veteran service personnel, we’ve signed the Armed Forces Covenant. Which means we’re committed to treating job applications from ex-forces personnel fairly and without prejudice. Recognising the value of their experience and transferrable skills.

Typical roles we’re always keen to recruit for include:

  • IRSE Licensed Technicians
  • SMTH & G110
  • RCF Grinding Operative
  • Ultrasonic Operator
  • Technician
  • COSS/ PIC’s
  • PTS Trackman
